CEVA Logistics has appointed Claus Svane Schmidt as its new head of LCL product from March 1, 2019.

According to CEVA, Schmidt will have full responsibility for all LCL products within CEVA and he will seek to drive further innovation across both existing and new markets. This will include digitization of the LCL product to ensure constant yield improvement.

“This is an exciting new challenge with tremendous potential for growing what is already a very strong service offering,” he said. “There is untapped potential especially utilizing our worldwide capabilities in e-commerce and our own operations where new lanes can be brought on stream.”

Schmidt joined CEVA in early 2018, following a career with a number of industry players including senior positions in Scandinavia, Dubai, Sydney and Hong Kong. He has been based in the Philippines for the last year, according to CEVA.
