Thailand, India and Pakistan are extending its existing bans on international services as the countries continue to fight the coronavirus outbreak.
Thailand said it is extending its temporary ban on all international flights to the country from June 1 to June 30 at 17.00 UTC and all flight permits granted for such period will be cancelled.
It noted, however, that the ban does not apply to state or military aircraft, emergency landing, technical landing without disembarkation, humanitarian aid, medical and relief flights, repatriation flights and cargo flights.
Passengers of such flights will also be subjected to the measures under communicable disease law, such as 14 days state quarantine, and the regulations under the Emergency Decree on the State of Emergency.
India, Pakistan extend the ban to May 31
India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation said via its official Twitter account, announced that the Indian government extended its prohibition on the operation of scheduled domestic and international passenger services until May 31, 2020, instead of the initial schedule to lift restrictions by May 17.
Scheduled passenger services have been prohibited in India since March 25.
Meanwhile, Pakistan also extended the prohibition on international services until the end of the month.
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority said via its official Twitter account that its government extended its temporary prohibition on the operation of scheduled international passenger services until May 31 rather than the earlier planned resumption on May 15.
