As it further extends its ocean freight management capabilities in Asia, CEVA Logistics in Thailand has set up a new ocean branch in Laem Chabang, the country’s main deep seaport.
The new ocean station positioned in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor will help to address the evolving supply chain needs of the country’s powerhouse of industrial production.
In a statement, CEVA said Laem Chabang station’s connectivity to neighbour countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia will enhance CEVA Logistics’ service offering in the region.
Multi-modal infrastructure provides growth opportunities
CEVA noted that Laem Chabang has a range of strategic multi-modal capabilities alongside its proximity to the country’s major deep seaport, transit cargo terminal and the future Thailand third airport project at U-Tapao.
"The scale of this infrastructure makes it an ideal location for the growth of industries such as energy and petrochemical, electronics, industrial manufacturing, consumer & retail, healthcare and automotive," it said.
CEVA Logistics will continue to provide a full range of ocean services via all the country’s major ports: Bangkok, Songkhla and Laem Chabang.
It noted that with the new ocean station in Laem Chabang, CEVA will be able to take its ocean operations in the country to the next level and enable the logistics company to offer fully integrated solutions across freight and contract logistics products to our customers.
