SDV Thailand has started operations at its new logistics centre in Bangplee, approximately 10km from Bangkok.

The new warehouse is manned by 25 staff members and occupies an area of almost 2,000m². It is equipped with temperature-control systems and can serve retail industries such as fashion and luxury, cosmetics and e-commerce.

SDV said that the new centre will provide customers with advantages such as economies of scale, shared overheads, resources and equipment, and best practice processes. The company will also be able to offer added-value services such as kitting, co-packing, labelling, price-tagging and final delivery.

According to SDV, the facility manages more than 15,000 stock-keeping units using radio waves, thanks to a warehouse management system by Manhattan. The system has been customized for SDV and enables data to be transmitted real-time to customers.
