Bolloré Logistics is pursuing its commitment to cut its carbon footprint by 30% in 2030 following the 2018 launch of its CSR initiative ‘Powering Sustainable Logistics.’

Part of its sustainable efforts includes transforming its existing systems to include data that reflects the impact of its transport operations on the environment and it is working to reduce its use of plastics and cardboard within across its network.

Bolloré also put in place "B.Lab" within its company — an organisation to support innovation initiatives by giving its customers a central role in the collaborative approach. It aims to design robust, agile and sustainable solutions devised and developed at the company’s two centres in Paris and Singapore.

The logistics company earlier committed to reducing its Scope 3 CO2 emissions, which are generated by the execution of transport services, by 30% relative to 2019 in 12 years or until 2030.

Thierry Ehrenbogen, chief executive of Bolloré Logistics said “We are faced with major challenges for the planet, calling for a considerable transformation across the entire supply chain.

“Our CSR programme, Powering Sustainable Logistics, is aimed at boosting our contribution to the resolution of these social and environmental issues. Our Scope 3 objective is extremely ambitious but fully necessary for contributing to the fight against climate change.

Cindy Patan, media relations at Bolloré Logistics said throughout its network, the company is working on developing new solutions together with our partners and clients using the most recent technologies: AI, robotics, IoT and Blockchain.
