Kuwait-headquartered Agility Logistics said industry players expect the worldwide recovery from the coronavirus crisis to take place between 2022 to 2024.

In a brief statement, it said 52% of the 1,206 logistics professionals it surveyed in its latest 2021 Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index — which it produced with Transport Intelligence — expect a "delayed global recovery."

It added that based on the result of its industry poll, some regions are also expected to bounce back sooner than others.

Asia, North America and Europe, for example, are expected to rebound this year from the downturn triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, Agility noted. 

Meanwhile, the logistics firm said disruption across the supply chain is also observed were logistics executives "struggled" to cope with port congestion issues, transportation capacity, and supplies of parts and inputs.
