FEDEX DELIVERS COVID-19 VACCINES TO SOUTH KOREA

FedEx Express annoiunced that it delivered a shipment of COVID-19 vaccines on August 15 to the Government of the Republic of Korea on behalf of the US Government. 

 

FedEx said it loaded and transported the time- and temperature-sensitive vaccine shipment from Memphis, Tennessee to Incheon International Airport and then on to the final destination in South Korea.

 

FedEx said it used its healthcare solutions and expertise to protect the integrity and security of this shipment throughout the entire journey.

 

“We are proud to play an important role in helping South Korea combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Using our extensive network to ship COVID-19 vaccines to communities where they are needed most is some of the most important work we are doing,” said Eun-mi Chae, managing director, Operations, FedEx Express Korea.

 

“FedEx is well-positioned to handle these shipments with our temperature-control solutions, near real-time monitoring capabilities, and a dedicated healthcare team to deliver vaccine shipments securely and efficiently,” he added. 

 

FedEx noted that it has delivered COVID-19 vaccines to nearly 50 countries around the world, including the distribution of more than 200 million doses throughout the United States.

 

Since the beginning of 2020, the company has transported more than 13,800 humanitarian aid shipments globally toward COVID-19 relief efforts.
