FEDEX UNVEILS CUSTOMIZED SERVICE IN CHINA

FedEx Express has launched FedEx Customized Freight for the Chinese market, a new service available for outbound shipments from China and inbound shipments from the US and other key Asian markets.

 

Designed for the high-tech, healthcare and manufacturing industries in particular, the service provides customers with dedicated vehicles, priority handling and boarding, weekend and holiday deliveries, shipment audit and active temperature-controlled containers with proactive monitoring.

 

“Customers’ needs are constantly evolving in a changing market, and FedEx is always looking for ways to adapt and innovate our solutions to cater to them,” said Karen Reddington, president of FedEx Express Asia Pacific. “FedEx Customized Freight is one example of this. This solution is aimed at customers with complex or unusual shipping requirements, who benefit from a tailor-made shipping service combined with FedEx industry-leading supply chain expertise.”

 

According to FedEx, the FCF service combines the FedEx Express global network and the customized value-added services of FedEx Custom Critical. Based on the individual shipping needs of the customer, it will determine door-to-door routings and offer integrated transportation management.

 

Apart from mainland China, FCF is already available in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.
