Qatar Airways will upgrade its Doha-Maputo flight to thrice-weekly non-stop from March 27, 2016.

The new flight will be operated by a Boeing 787-8.

The capital of Mozambique is currently served via Johannesburg three times a week. The non-stop routing will reduce the journey time by approximately five hours in each direction, according to the airline.

Qatar Airways launched scheduled flights to Maputo in October 2012.
