ZIM has received new refrigerated containers at the port of Ashdod for its ZIMonitor service.

ZIMonitor, which is designed for the transport of temperature-sensitive and high-value goods, allows customers to check the status of a container and alerts them of any deviations. 24-hour response teams are also on hand.

“We believe the unique solution offered by ZIM through ZIMonitor, specifically suited for the cold supply chain and pharma industry, will continue to develop, and we are investing in our service accordingly,” said Nissim Yocha, vice president of global sales at ZIM.

The service is now part of the carrier’s regular offering, after a pilot programme with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.
