DaChan Bay Terminals announced that it welcomed the "SANTANA" service on July 29 operated by Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) which offers fast transit times to the US East Coast and direct connection to Boston.

The "SANTANA" service is the only service in Western Shenzhen with direct call at Boston, according to DaChan Bay Terminals in a statement.

"We are glad to have welcomed two services of MSC in one month enhancing the connection between South China and the US. We will continue to provide quality services as always," said Brian Yeung, DaChan Bay Terminals managing director.

DaChan Bay noted that 11 vessels, each of a capacity of 8,500-9,500 TEUs, are deployed in the "SANTANA" service which calls DaChan Bay Terminals every Saturday.

The "SANTANA" service follows the DaChan Bay – Shanghai – Busan – Charleston – Baltimore – New York – Boston – Singapore – Haiphong – DaChan Bay port rotation.
