Seafrigo Group announced that in partnership with HAROPA PORT it is continuing to develop and start construction of a new 13,000 sq. m. facility located in Le Havre's port area which will be dedicated to frozen food flows for super- and hypermarkets and agrifood manufacturers.
In a statement, Seafrigo said the new building will be capable of handling 35,000 pallets and equipped with Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks to optimise productivity when handling loads.

"Through our historic partnership with HAROPA PORT, we can continue to develop the Group at the heart of Le Havre's port area to offer our customers additional capacity for the storage of frozen foods in latest-generation facilities," said Eric Barbé, chairman of the Seafrigo Group, adding that Seafrigo Group will continue to grow in the coming years and other projects are currently under development internationally.
"We are committed to mastery of the entire logistics chain from initial provenance to destination for our partners’ total satisfaction," Barbé added.
Florian Weyer, the deputy CEO of HAROPA PORT Le Havre, noted that HAROPA PORT is consolidating its partnership with the Seafrigo Group and is supporting its development in the Le Havre port area.
"Their desire to expand to offer customers additional storage capacity is evidence of confidence in our port and the dynamism of the Seine Axis for logistics operations," Weyer said.
Meanwhile, Seafrigo said environmental testing has been completed and construction will begin before the end of the second quarter of 2023 with a view to commissioning in the last quarter of 2024.
