CARGOAI AND CHAIN.IO AGREE ON TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP
October 27, 2022

CargoAi has agreed on a strategic partnership with the cloud-based integration platform Chain.io, which also links players across the global supply chain.

CargoAi said the partnership would 'supercharge the freight forwarder experience" and will begin with coverage of rates, capacity, eBookings and tracking information, as well as calculation of CO2 emissions.

The deal is seen to enable large and medium-sized freight forwarders on Chain.io's network to easily connect to CargoAi's platform to make instant bookings with either general sales and services agents (GSSAs) or airlines directly while allowing them to remain working through their own transportation management system (TMS).

The CargoAi platform is an end-to-end interface that gives freight forwarders access to schedules, cargo data, and shipment tracking, as well as the ability to facilitate purchase orders and provide a range of reporting options.

Users of CargoAi can now complete all of the same actions within their own TMS without visiting various airline websites or dialling various phone numbers thanks to Chain.io's integration into the system.

Matt Petot, founder and chief executive of CargoAi, noted that the Chain.io partnership will "enable new efficiency gains and drastically improve the visibility of our airline partners around the world."

He added that these functionalities were also the most requested by its existing users.

"Our partnership with CargoAi extends the powerful network we offer to freight forwarders," said Brian Glick, founder and chief executive of Chain.io.

"Technology is more impactful when it doesn't live in silos, so the ability to make instant bookings with CargoAi and get air visibility from within a TMS will give forwarders more efficiency and flexibility."
