ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (ZIM), has announced the opening of a fully-owned ZIM agency in New Zealand, replacing the current 3rd-party agent, effective November 2022.
ZIM said the new ZIM agency in New Zealand is part of its strategy to further develop and expand its activities in the region and provide top-level shipping services to customers.
The new ZIM New Zealand office will be led by David Mitchell, the current country manager, who will join the ZIM team.
"Our strategic goal is to expand and enhance our regional network connecting Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and the new agency is another milestone on our journey," said Danny Hoffman, ZIM EVP Intra-Asia.
Nir Avni, ZIM VP of Medium & Small Countries, noted that the shipping line will also continue to invest in the region to boost its presence and services.
"We continue to invest significant efforts and resources to strengthen and improve our services in New Zealand, and I'm confident our customers in New Zealand will benefit from ZIM’s trademark personal, dedicated and customer-centric approach," Avni added.
