CMA CGM TO DEPLOY FLAGSHIPS ON TRANS-PACIFIC NETWORK
March 4, 2016
The CMA CGM Group will deploy its six flagship vessels on the Asia-US West Coast market from the end of May 2016.
The carrier’s fleet of 18,000 TEU ships, named after great explorers and consisting of the CMA CGM Bougainville, the CMA CGM Kerguelen, the CMA CGM Georg Foster, the CMA CGM Vasco de Gama, the CMA CGM Zheng He and the CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin, will be put on the Pearl River Express service.
The CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin became the largest ship to ever call at a US port in December 2015 and was recently inaugurated at the Port of Long Beach on February 19.
The six ships are among the largest in the world and help to lower the line’s carbon footprint, according to CMA CGM.
