Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced an Israel Express (ILX), a new weekly Israel shuttle service, connecting Israel to the hub of Damietta, Egypt.

"This new shuttle service was created in response to the growing demand for both import and export cargo from Israel," ONE said, adding that it will provide customers with better transit time between Israel and Egypt.

It noted that through this connection, ONE customers could utilise transportation access from Israel and Egypt to other global locations across ONE's network.

The first sailing for Israel Express (ILX) will launch from March 29, 2023 with the following rotation: Damietta (Wed/Thu) — Haifa (Saturday/Sunday) — Ashdod (Tuesday/Wednesday) — Damietta (Wednesday).

ONE noted ILX is a seven-day round voyage, with weekly service.
