MSC Air Cargo has tapped the ECS Group as its GSSA in Europe, Mexico and North America.

The newly-launched air cargo carrier of the MSC Group said the ECS Group would provide local coverage in the two regions and Mexico to support customers and maximise its capacity utilisation.

Launched in late 2022, MSC Air Cargo flies one B777-200 freighter between North America, Europe and Asia operated by Atlas Air — which will run four B777-200Fs for MSC Air Cargo.

Atlas' order of these four aircraft was announced in January 2022.

The 777-200 Freighter, Atlas earlier said, will complement MSC's container shipping solutions and expand service to key trade lanes for various industries, including those traditionally requiring significant air cargo transportation.

In December 2022, MSC launched Liege Airport in Belgium as the European hub for its new air cargo carrier, MSC Air Cargo.

It also started a Seoul-Indianapolis service connecting South Korea and the US — which will be operated twice weekly.
