FEDEX STRIKES DEAL WITH PILOT UNION AVERTING STRIKE
May 30, 2023

FedEx has announced that it has achieved a "tentative agreement" with its pilots regarding an amended collective bargaining agreement in order to avert a potential strike.

The deal comes after continuous negotiations with the Air Line Pilots Association, Int'l (ALPA), which represents the pilots, concerning their employment terms.

"We are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement with our pilots as we continue delivering outstanding service to our customers around the world," FedEx said in its FedEx-ALPA Collective Bargaining Update on May 30.

Earlier this month, FedEx said its operations will not be affected by the recently authorized strike plans of its pilots, represented by the ALPA.

It said that the ALPA vote on May 17 to authorise a strike has "no impact" on its service — as the American express giant noted that it remains in "productive negotiations" with its pilots.

"The results of ALPA's strike authorization has no impact on our service as we continue delivering for our customers around the world," FedEx said.
