June 19, 2023

CMA CGM Group has recently revealed the appointment of Adeline Franger Chouraqui as the chief executive officer of CMA CGM Greater China, effective from June 2023.

Having previously served as the general manager of CMA CGM Vietnam, Chouraqui's new role would see her responsible for overseeing the strategic development and driving business growth in the CMA CGM Greater China Cluster, which includes mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan.

"China is the world leading shipbuilder and hosts some of the world's largest and busiest ports. The Chinese market has always been one of the most important and strategic markets for the CMA CGM Group. Under the great leadership of Ludovic Renou, CMA CGM Greater China consistently achieved steady progress with outstanding results, especially in challenging situations," Chouraqui said.

CMA CGM noted that Chouraqui had been an integral part of the CMA CGM group since 2007 and has played a vital role in the company's expansion in Asia over the past seven years.

During her tenure, she has held various positions, including head of Latin America Trade at APL Singapore, regional director at ANL Asia, and general manager of CMA CGM Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Ludovic Renou, the former CEO of CMA CGM Greater China, will now head the Global Experience Network in Marseille.

"I am very honored to become new CEO of CMA CGM Greater China and I am confident in the resilience and potential of China's economic development," Chouraqui said.

"I will lead CMA CGM Greater China team to offer best-in-class end-to-end solutions to our customers and work with the Group to continue our innovations in shipping decarbonization and digital transformation," the new chief executive of CMA CGM Greater China added.
