Qatar Airways Cargo has launched QR Express, its product designed for the transportation of time-critical shipments.

According to the carrier, the airport-to-airport solution offers a simple booking system, short and flexible close-outs, high-priority handling at origin and destination, dedicated ramp transfers and a retrieval time of approximately 90 minutes.

“We are committed to meeting our customers’ demand for the services they need, by investing in sophisticated technology and a team of highly qualified staff,” said Ulrich Ogiermann, chief officer of cargo at Qatar Airways. “This new product enables our customers to ship time-sensitive cargo with the knowledge that transit time will be minimized. It will be an ideal solution for the supply chain process and fast-moving consumable goods.”

The service is available for shipments weighing up to 32kg and measuring up to 100cm × 100cm × 100cm each.

QR Express adds to the airline’s current line-up of air cargo products: QR Charter, QR Equine, QR Fresh, QR On-Board Courier, QR Pharma and QR Premium Platinum.

Qatar Airways Cargo operates a fleet of eight Airbus A330-200Fs, one Boeing 747-400F and eight 777Fs.
