The G6 Alliance, consisting of APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line, will enhance its offerings in the Asia-North America trade this summer.
With regard to the West Coast, the alliance will resume the CC2 service from week 21, with a port rotation of: Ningbo – Shanghai (Waigaoqiao) – Busan – Long Beach – Ningbo.
The CC4 service will revert to being a shuttle between Central China and the US West Coast, with a port rotation of: Shanghai (Waigaoqiao) – Ningbo – Los Angeles – Oakland – Shanghai (Waigaoqiao).
As for the East Coast of North America, the alliance will offer a new service starting from week 23, called the NYX.
The port rotation will be: Qingdao – Ningbo – Shanghai (Yangshan) – Busan – Panama Canal – Manzanillo (Panama) – New York – Norfolk – Savannah – Manzanillo (Panama) – Panama Canal – Busan – Qingdao.
Three existing services will be enhanced, also starting from week 23.
The PA1 service will have a new port rotation of: Busan – Shanghai (Yangshan) – Kobe – Nagoya – Tokyo – Vancouver – Tacoma – Oakland – Los Angeles – Panama Canal – Manzanillo (Panama) – New York – Halifax – Southampton – Antwerp – Bremerhaven – Rotterdam – Halifax – New York – Norfolk – Savannah – Manzanillo (Panama) – Panama Canal – Los Angeles – Oakland – Yokohama – Busan.
A Shanghai call will be added to the PA2 service, which will have a port rotation of: Tokyo – Kobe – Busan – Shanghai (Yangshan) – Panama Canal – Manzanillo (Panama) – Miami – Savannah – Jacksonville – Charleston – Norfolk – Manzanillo (Panama) – Panama Canal – Balboa – Los Angeles – Oakland – Tokyo.
The CEC service will call at Kaohsiung, and will therefore have a port rotation of: Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Shekou – Yantian – Singapore – Suez Canal – New York – Savannah – Charleston – Norfolk – Suez Canal – Jeddah – Singapore – Vung Tau – Kaohsiung.
According to the alliance, the NYE/SCE Combo and NCE services will be suspended because of the changes above. The last NYE/SCE Combo sailing will be the Hyundai Dynasty 046E/W, which is scheduled to arrive in Xiamen on June 2, 2016 and in Savannah on July 4, 2016. The last NCE sailing will be the Hyundai Integral 051E/W, scheduled to arrive in Busan on May 29, 2016 and in New York on July 2, 2016.
