March 1, 2024

Silk Way West Airlines has announced the renewal of its International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification.

The major cargo airline in the Caspian and Central Asian region said this significant achievement highlights the airline's ongoing commitment to safety and operational excellence.

"Silk Way West Airlines has now successfully passed the rigorous IOSA audit for the 6th time, demonstrating its consistent adherence to international safety requirements in air cargo transport," the carrier said in a statement.

It noted that the latest audit illustrates the company's ability to adapt to and embrace the newest IOSA standards and practices.

Silk Way West Airlines said the comprehensive evaluation covered multiple operational areas, including cargo and flight operations, ground handling, maintenance services, and air traffic safety.

"Achieving and maintaining high-level international safety standards, while meeting our customers' expectations, remains our top priority," said Darko Vucic, vice president, of corporate quality and compliance of Silk Way West Airlines.

"The renewal of the IOSA certificate, following the risk-based audit process organized and directly managed by IATA, is a testament to our unwavering dedication to operational excellence and safety and contributes to the achievement of our global safety goals," he added.

Silk Way West Airlines has been meeting the requirements of the IOSA audit program since it joined IATA in 2015.

"This ongoing commitment not only affirms the airline's dedication to safety but also reinforces its reputation as a provider of reliable air cargo solutions across its global network," the cargo carrier said.
