Gulf Air has received the International Air Transport Association’s Ground Operations Certificate.
“As we strive to remain at the forefront of operational developments to ensure convenient travel solutions for our passengers, Gulf Air prides itself on operating to the highest global standards with regards to our ground-handling processes, ground safety and operations,” said Nasser Al Salmi, chief operations officer of Gulf Air [centre in photo]. “This is key to ensuring satisfied passengers and seamless operations. It is an honour to be recognised for our achievements to date and a reminder of the need for our continuous, rigorous efforts.”
According to IATA, the IGOM outlines generic procedures and standardizes processes, and covers both passenger and cargo handling. It is used as a reference for the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations.
Gulf Air recently also passed the biennial IATA Operational Safety Audit, according to the airline.
