MAERSK OFFERS NEW ASIA-LATIN AMERICA SERVICE
May 25, 2016

Maersk Line has enhanced its network between Asia and the West Coast of Latin America by launching its AC1 service, which will begin at the end of June.

According to Maersk, it was able to introduce a third service by decreasing the amount of vessels deployed on the AC2 service. Overall capacity will remain unchanged.

“We are optimizing our Asia-West Coast Latin America network to provide our customers with faster access to their markets in order to fuel their business growth,” said Dean Rodin, head of trade for Latin America and Oceania at Maersk. “These enhancements will benefit our customers with faster cargo deliveries and more direct port coverage.”

Goods commonly transported on the trade lane include fresh fish and seafood, electronics, cars, toys, ceramic tiles, steel and glass, according to Maersk.
