CMA CGM has partnered with Chinese battery manufacturer and technology company China's Contemporary Amperex Technology Co (CATL) to establish a joint venture which seeks to promote green vessels and low-carbon solutions.

The partnership between CMA CGM and CATL is aimed at developing comprehensive solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The two companies are working together on electric ships, warehouse logistics, renewable energy, and more.

It also aims to drive both digitalization and green, low-carbon initiatives in the maritime industry.

In their cooperation agreement, CMA CGM and CATL plan to combine technology, market insights, and resources to advance the development of environmentally friendly transportation.

The two companies plan to significantly advance sustainability in the maritime sector by enhancing their collaboration in digitalization and promoting low-carbon transformation.
