Yusen Logistics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. has started handling air import cargoes at Dongguan Humen Bonded Logistics Park (BLP) since May 2024.

It also created a solution to connect the BLP with Hong Kong International Airport by feeder vessels for both import and export air freight.  

In the announcement, Yusen said the company established its own CFS in Dongguan Humen BLP in March 2023, and under the regulation of Hong Kong International Airport, it provides services to transport air export cargoes to Hong Kong International Airport by feeder's vessels and load them onto aircraft.

"We have now taken a new stage and started handling air import cargoes at Dongguan Humen BLP. Transporting cargoes which arrive at Hong Kong International Airport directly to Dongguan Humen BLP by feeder vessels, we have established a shipping route for air freight to arrive in Dongguan from overseas in a single stop," the statement said.

"With the addition of air import cargo handling, we have begun to provide both air import and export services utilizing Dongguan Humen BLP," it added.

Yusen Logistics noted that since the launch of this service in May, the company have consistently handled air import cargoes from Taiwan and Thailand to meet strong transportation demand.

In addition to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, it expanded its functions in Dongguan as an air cargo distribution base in the Greater Bay Area to create new values and provide customers with more options.

The nine cities in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing) and regions including Hong Kong and Macau.
