July 31, 2024
China's cross-border e-commerce continued to grow strongly, totalling 1.22 trillion yuan (about US$170.95 billion) in the first half of 2024, or up 10.5% year-over-year.
Chinese state media said the development was boosted by the establishment of pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce development and facilitation of customs clearance.
Xinhua reported that Lyu Daliang, spokesperson with the General Administration of Customs, said looking ahead, the country would further streamline customs clearance procedures and improve services to support the development of cross-border e-commerce.
