Dachser has launched its North China air freight gateway in the Shanghai Pudong Airport Bonded Zone.

“The North China gateway demonstrates Dachser’s high-quality process management across continents,” said Yves Larquemin, managing director of air and sea logistics in North China at Dachser.

All inbound and outbound cargo to and from Dachser’s 10 branches in North China will now be routed through Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport.

“Consolidating cargo via the gateway instead of handling it individually at local airports will harmonize processes and extend service capabilities,” said David Wang, air freight gateway manager of North China at Dachser.

Running operations at the two gateways also offers the flexibility to move cargo by truck, according to Dachser.
