Perspex South Africa has signed an agreement with Tigers SA for the logistics specialist to handle all of its warehousing and distribution needs.

According to Perspex, it will now gain access to Tigers’ systems and global infrastructure. Tigers will provide Perspex will end-to-end solutions, covering forwarding, clearing, distribution and warehousing. A larger warehouse and extra vehicles will improve turnaround and delivery times.

“We wanted to team up with a partner in the truest sense of the word,” said Stuart Hughes [left], managing director of Perspex South Africa. “Our business needed to be critical to our partner just as their service is critical to us.”

The partnership will also enable online purchases. Perspex SA’s clients will be able to check stock, order and receive delivery time confirmation instantaneously.

“Our state-of-the-art SmartHub Connect portal provides full integration with Perspex South Africa’s order management systems, complete with a client-facing layer, that offers data visibility and order management,” said Paul Lawrence [right], managing director of Tigers South Africa. “This will allow Perspex South Africa to provide clients with timely and accurate delivery information, and improved delivery times.”

As part of the collaboration, Perspex SA’s Gauteng branch moved into new office space and a 4,600-square-metre Tigers warehouse in a secure business estate in Isando, Johannesburg.

“Perspex South Africa will work tirelessly with Tigers to ensure that the transition is smooth and that clients see the benefit of this strategic partnership in the shortest possible timeframe,” said Hughes.
