OOCL has launched the second phase of its range of OCEAN Alliance products, effective from April 2018.
The alliance introduced its Day One products earlier this year.
According to OOCL, the upgraded network will include more than 40 services deploying approximately 340 container vessels with an estimated total capacity of 3.6 million TEUs, and will feature improvements in areas such as service coverage, port pair connections, transit times, schedule reliability and operational efficiency.
“The progress that we have made since Day One has been most positive and we are very excited and confident with our direction forward in the second phase of products that we have developed,” said Andy Tung, chief executive officer of OOCL. “We will continue building on our strengths and performance levels to win the vote of confidence from our customers and pave way to a stronger and more competitive position in the market.”
Changes include direct services for northern China and the Baltic Sea, a revamped Gulf and Mexico service and a new service for the South Atlantic.
