Miami is Turkish Cargo’s fourth freighter destination in the US, after Atlanta, Chicago and New York.

With the new freighter service, the carrier’s maindeck capacity to the North American market has increased by 100 tonnes to 220 tonnes per week.

Turkish Cargo expects to transport exports such as fresh flowers, perishable fruits and vegetables, high-tech products, telecommunication equipment and aircraft parts, as well as imports such as textiles, fish, medicine, flowers, automobile parts, chemicals, petrochemicals and other perishables.

Perishable goods account for 47% of international transit cargo at Miami Airport.

Turkish Airlines already flies to Miami six times a week with 777-300ERs.
