Worldwide Flight Services has signed new contracts with five airlines for more passenger, ramp and cargo services in the United States.
With effect from August 1, 2018, WFS will begin a three-year contract with EVA Air in Los Angeles, providing ramp services for the airline’s thrice-daily Boeing 777-300ER flights to and from Taipei.
WFS has also started a new three-year ramp-handling contract at Los Angeles with Emirates from June 2018. The airline flies daily to LA from Dubai with an Airbus A380 and is also handled by WFS in Chicago and Houston.
In Chicago, WFS has been awarded a three-year passenger services contract by Ethiopian Airlines, which is scheduled to launch a thrice-weekly flight to the city on June 9, 2018 with a 787-8.
In New York, WFS began a handling contract for Brussels Airlines from June 1, 2018, managing passenger services for the airline’s thrice-weekly Airbus A330 flight between Brussels and JFK.
Lastly, WOW Air has appointed WFS to provide ramp, passenger and cargo services for its thrice-weekly A330-300 flight between Keflavik and Dallas/Fort Worth. The three-year contract adds to WFS’ existing contracts with the airline at Newark and New York JFK.
“These new contracts continue WFS’ great start to 2018 in the US,” said Michael A. Duffy, chief executive officer of WFS Americas. “Not only are these all major customers, they are also existing WFS clients who are growing their business with us at more of their airport gateways, which is a tribute to our reputation for service quality and the performance levels delivered by the WFS team in the US for safety, security and customer service.”
