The executives of CMA CGM, COSCO SHIPPING, Evergreen and OOCL have signed an agreement to launch the Ocean Alliance Day 3 product

According to the shipping lines, the product is the third phase of the alliance’s service offering and will begin in April 2019.

“This new agreement with our Asian partners will enable us to propose to our customers an unrivalled and competitive service offering,” said Rodolphe Saadé, chairman and chief executive officer of the CMA CGM Group. “It is a milestone in our development strategy. It reinforces the CMA CGM Group in its key position within the industry.”

The portfolio consists of 38 services operated by approximately 330 container vessels, of which 111 will belong to CMA CGM. Total capacity will be around 3.8 million TEUs.

The Ocean Alliance was launched in April 2017.
