Jettainer will send a specially designed air freight container around the world to mark the 15th anniversary of the company as well as the 60th anniversary of unit load devices.

According to Jettainer, the container will first make its way from Frankfurt to Singapore in time for the International Air Transport Association’s World Cargo Symposium.

“We have won many customers in the last 15 years and have not yet lost a single one,” said Martin Kraemer, head of marketing and PR at Jettainer. “For us, this lasting loyalty is the perfect proof of our service.”

Jettainer’s IT infrastructure, JettWare, incorporates artificial intelligence to support ULD controllers in their work. The company also uses technology enabling the geo-localization of ULDs, and is developing further improvements.

Currently being tested is the ULD Black Box, a device which can measure and register damage. This will lead to a further increase in the efficiency of ULD fleets. 

“The development, especially in the area of damage prevention, offers a great opportunity for further improvements,” said Kraemer. “The 15th anniversary of Jettainer and the 60th anniversary of the ULD clearly show that ULD management is an innovative industry and that the potential is far from exhausted.”

Jettainer provides its ULD management services to 21 airlines and handles a fleet of approximately 90,000 units.
