DB Schenker has announced Cindy Cao's appointment as Greater China Cluster CEO. She will lead the company's over 5,000-strong team in more than 50 cities throughout Greater China.

The appointment took effect on June 4, 2024.

Prior to this appointment, Cao was SVP and Head of Area East and Area North.

She joined DB Schenker in 1995 as an Air Import Manager and rose through the ranks, serving as GM of Airfreight of North China and then the Beijing Branch before leading Area West as VP.

Cao takes over the position from Vishal Sharma, who was appointed APAC CEO on February 24.  

"In the current dynamic and rapidly changing environment, Cindy's deep experience is a big advantage for us and our customers.  Particularly, in navigating a growth path and creating value, amidst one of our most strategically significant and robust market in the region and group," Sharma said of Cao's appointment.
