Container-leasing company CS Leasing has expanded its global management team by making two senior hires in the Asia-Pacific region and appointing a new agent for the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

Makoto Nose will set up and head a new office in Singapore, taking responsibility for the Asian region.

“I am honoured to be joining CS Leasing,” said Nose. “I know the management team well and I am confident that their commitment to offering a flexible and customer-focused style of service will work well in this region.”

Nose was previously Asia marketing director of The Cronos Group in Singapore, and has worked at container-leasing companies such as Exsif and Transamerica.

Linda Knight has been appointed marketing director in Sydney, and will focus on the New Zealand market.

“This is an exciting time to be joining CS Leasing,” said Knight.  “I look forward to working with existing and potential customers in New Zealand, and building the market position of CS Leasing.”

Knight was also previously with The Cronos Group and has over 20 years of experience in the industry.

Nipuna Containers LLC has been appointed to cover the Middle East and Indian subcontinent for tanks and specials. Archana Jayakrishnan will be the area manager, based in Dubai.

“We are all delighted to be representing CS Leasing,” said Jayakrishnan. “I am looking forward to using my knowledge to expand the reach of a company that matches our own focus on customer service and market knowledge.”

Jayakrishnan previously worked for Safmarine, a Maersk subsidiary.

Nipuna is part of the VS&B Containers Group, with which the management of CS Leasing have been working for more than 20 years, according to CS Leasing.
