Qatar Airways Cargo is boosting belly-hold flight frequencies in addition to its scheduled freighter capacity to strategic international destinations this winter to meet rising demand during the peak season.
The carrier said it is enhancing its belly-hold capacity via expanded passenger network and freighter flights to routes in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
Qatar Airways Cargo will increase its flights to Tokyo Narita from 11 to 14 weekly. It will also add a daily flight to Phuket in Thailand, bringing the total to four per day. The carrier is also increasing its service to Bangkok from 42 to 45 weekly flights between December 13, 2025, and February 2026. One freighter flight also offers 100 tonnes capacity each way per week.
Notably, London will see a historic increase from 8 to 10 daily flights—marking the highest-ever frequency for Qatar Airways—while Zanzibar will benefit from widebody aircraft service.
"With over 60 freighter destinations and more than 170 passenger destinations, Qatar Airways Cargo already offers an unmatched global network," said Mark Drusch, chief officer cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo.
"But excellence is a journey, not a destination. We are continuously refining our capacity and operations to meet dynamic market demands, especially as we head into the peak season. These frequency increases reflect our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance cargo solutions across the globe."
Located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, Qatar Airways Cargo's hub at the award-winning Hamad International Airport continues to play a pivotal role in global trade.
This winter, the airline is enhancing connectivity across major trade routes, further strengthening its position as a bridge between East and West.
In Europe, London now sees 10 daily passenger flights (up from eight), supported by nine freighter flights offering 900 tonnes of weekly capacity each way. Dublin and Madrid have increased to 17 weekly flights (from 14), with Madrid also receiving 11 freighter flights totaling 1,100 tonnes of capacity per week. Berlin and Frankfurt now operate 21 weekly flights (up from 18), with Frankfurt served by nine freighters offering 900 tonnes weekly. Manchester has expanded to up to 24 weekly flights (from 21).
