SolitAir has selected Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl), the largest independent air cargo handler at Hong Kong International Airport, as its handling agent for its newly launched freighter services to the city, with the inaugural flight operated on August 7.
This new service connects its base in Dubai, with Dhaka and Hong Kong, using a 22-tonnes capacity B737-800BCF aircraft.
Hactl said it will serve as the "one-stop-shop" partner for these new Hong Kong flights.
To meet the growing demand in the market, the airline's B737-800BCF fleet is set to expand to anywhere between ten and twelve aircraft in the near future.
"We are honoured that SolitAir has selected Hactl to support its new freighter services into Hong Kong, and are fully committed to providing services which will support SolitAir’s future growth," said Joanna Li, executive director-commercial and business development at Hactl.
