Lufthansa Cargo’s urgent-logistics subsidiary time:matters grew its revenue for 2016 to just under €70 million (US$74.6 million), a year-on-year increase of 9%.
According to time:matters, the company’s strategic focus in 2016 was the integration of other airlines and partners into its network and the development of special solutions for particular industry sectors.
The automotive sector showed the most growth, at 92% year-on-year. Other sectors which performed well included high-tech and semiconductors, which grew 47%, and aviation and aerospace, which grew 44%.
In 2017, time:matters will focus on the launch of airmates, its software-based platform for on-board couriers, further digitization and increasing the international reach of the company.
