Kuehne + Nagel has been awarded a four-year contract by Toys “R” Us to manage its North China warehousing and distribution in Beijing.

A new warehouse will consolidate products from both local and overseas suppliers and distribute them to 45 stores in North China, handling almost 500,000 products. The distribution centre, which replaces a previous warehouse in Tianjin, will also provide services such as inventory control, fulfilment and management of returns.

“We are excited to expand our partnership with Toys “R” Us with this new distribution centre in North China,” said Pierre Li, senior vice president of contract logistics. “This contract underlines Kuehen + Nagel’s growing strength in contract logistics warehousing and distribution in mainland China.”

Kuehne + Nagel has worked with Toys “R” Us since 2015, managing distribution for the retailer in East, South and West China. With the new contract, Kuehne + Nagel will manage distribution for all 130 Toys “R” Us retail stores across the country.
