Cargolux Airlines has launched a scheduled freighter flight to Quito.
The new flight is operated four times weekly with a Boeing 747-8F and is routed through Amsterdam on the way back to Luxembourg.
According to Cargolux, it introduced direct flights from South and Central America to Amsterdam in 2016 to serve the perishable and flower markets. Its increased presence in the Netherlands has also enabled the carrier to operate more flexibly in the Dutch export markets for products that are difficult to transport by road.
Ecuador has been part of the network for 17 years through feeder flights by Aerosucre, according to Cargolux.
The schedule for the new flight is as follows.
