Antonov Airlines has appointed Flywell Aviation as its general sales agent in India.

According to Antonov, Flywell is based in New Delhi and has offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. It provides services to the defence, aerospace, oil and gas, rail and construction industries.

“India is a very significant market for the An-124-100s, and holds good potential for An-225 and An-22 flights across a number of sectors,” said Michael Goodisman, business development director of Antonov Airlines. “Flywell Aviation has been active in the Indian air charter market for many years, and has a good track record of arranging project cargo flights. Flywell’s long experience within the Indian market, coupled with our unique offering for the transport of outsized cargo, will ensure highly professional and dynamic services to this important region.”

Four senior members of staff from Flywell with a combined 55 years of experience in the logistics industry will support Antonov’s activities in the Indian market.

“India represents an important growth market for Antonov Airlines, and we are pleased to be representing them to offer customers a cost-effective and time-efficient method of shipping heavy lift, super heavy lift, and outsized cargo globally,” said Anil Bal, managing director of Flywell Aviation.

Antonov is a Ukrainian state-owned company headquartered in Kyiv, and offers a payload of 150 tonnes with its An-124-100M-150 and 250 tonnes with its An-225.
