Non-vessel-operating common carrier CaroTrans has launched its freight management mobile application.

According to CaroTrans, the app includes features such as track and trace, LCL ocean rates, door-to-port rates, LTL inland rates and sailing schedules.

“CaroTrans is committed to providing forwarders with the digital solutions that help them increase productivity and be more responsive to their shipper customers,” said Chris Wilson, president of CaroTrans. “Mobile access to shipment information offers time savings that help boost customer satisfaction.”

Additional capabilities, including port-to-CFS/import LCL rates, LCL bookings and advanced tracking, will be available in the near future.

“In today’s marketplace it’s important to deliver convenient, easy-to-access digital tools that save customers’ time and effort,” said Craig Stukey, IT manager at CaroTrans. “The business world is online, 24/7, and mobile phones are where people conduct business.”

The app is now available for Android devices, while the iOS version will be released in September 2017, according to CaroTrans.
