Jettainer has expanded its leasing offering to include transport boxes for horses.

The specialized ULDs can now be made available at short notice and can be leased for a period of up to several months.

“We’re noticing a huge demand for flying horseboxes and can now offer our customers flexible leasing concepts that are even better tailored to their needs,” said Martin Kraemer, head of marketing and PR at Jettainer.

The horseboxes, which can each transport up to three animals, feature a broad ramp, an adjustable upper partition providing visual protection and separation, and a non-slip stand ensuring that the horses travel without injuring themselves.

If the horsebox has to be returned empty, it can also be collapsed using a foldable top and transported on the lower deck of an aircraft to save space, according to Jettainer.
