Suparna Airlines, subsidiary of HNA Modern Logistics, has launched a non-stop flight between Xi’an and Frankfurt-Hahn.

The new flight is operated once a week with a Boeing 747-400F and is the carrier’s second freighter route in Europe from Xi’an after Amsterdam.

According to Suparna, the first flight carried approximately 100 tonnes of electronics and machinery.

Suparna Airlines changed its name from Yangtze River Express in July 2017 and operates both cargo and passenger flights.

HNA Group acquired an 82.5% stake in Frankfurt-Hahn Airport earlier this month.
