“We are pleased to welcome the new service as it will enhance further the network of services available at our facilities which are strategically located in Western Shenzhen to serve the Pearl River Delta manufacturing hub,” said Benjamin Lai, managing director of DaChan Bay Terminals.

The service is operated by the two companies with eight vessels, seven from ESL and one from RCL. It has a port rotation of: Pusan – Shanghai – Ningbo – DaChan Bay – Singapore – Port Kelang – Cochin – Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Jebel Ali – Bandar Abbas – Dammam – Jebel Ali – Hazira – Cochin – Port Kelang – Hong Kong – Pusan.

Managed by Modern Terminals Limited, DaChan Bay covers an area of 112 hectares with five berths along its quay of 1,830 metres. Its water depth is currently 15.5 metres and will eventually be dredged to 18 metres, allowing the terminal to accommodate the world’s largest container vessels and RoRo vessels.
