Seaspan Corporation has accepted delivery of the 11,000 TEU MSC Madhu B.

According to Seaspan, the vessel will commence a bareboat charter with Mediterranean Shipping Company for a period of 17 years, after which MSC is obligated to purchase the vessel for a pre-determined amount.

The vessel was constructed by Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines and is Seaspan’s fourth 11,000 TEU SAVER container ship in a series of five under bareboat charter to MSC.

This is the fifth ship delivered in 2017 to Seaspan, which grows its operating fleet to 89 vessels.
