Air Seychelles has appointed M&C Aviation as its general sales agent for India.

According to M&C, which was formerly the airline’s cargo sales agent for India and is also its GSA for Madagascar and Mauritius, the new contract enables M&C to take a more active role in Air Seychelles’ development throughout India.

M&C is also in discussions to further expand its GSA coverage for Air Seychelles to include additional markets in South Asia.

“We have introduced Air Seychelles’ services for the first time to the other major markets of India, including Bangalore, Madras and Delhi,” said Harish Shah [right in photo], CEO of India at M&C Aviation. “We have also added products to their portfolio, such as small parcels express, as well as increasing their coverage using interline partners in Europe and the USA, and connections to East Africa.”

Air Seychelles operates five times weekly between its hub in Seychelles and Mumbai with A320s. The airline’s network also includes Mauritius and Madagascar, as well as South Africa and parts of Europe. Air Seychelles’ mainstay cargo traffic consists of pharmaceuticals, textiles and courier shipments.

M&C Aviation was established in 1995 and has operations at 32 bases in 20 countries, representing 34 carriers. M&C is also a founder member of the 1GSA network of independent GSSA companies.
