Volga-Dnepr Group has appointed Ulrich Ogiermann as its new senior vice president of operations and deputy general director of CargoLogicManagement, a subsidiary which provides management consultancy services to airlines worldwide.
According to Volga-Dnepr, Ogiermann is based in London and will be responsible for the implementation of the group’s international cargo strategy, which is aimed at realizing the synergistic effects of strategic partnerships between airlines to guarantee high-end and cost-efficient solutions for the group’s global customers. He will manage control of the airlines’ annual operational results and operational standards compliance, as well as network synergy under the strategic partnerships and international team development.

Ogiermann has more than 25 years of experience in the air cargo industry. He was chief cargo officer of Qatar Airways from 2012 to 2017 and between 2003 and 2011 was president and CEO of Cargolux, which he had joined in 1998. Ogiermann has been a member of the IATA Cargo Committee for many years and served as chairman of The International Air Cargo Association in 2009 and 2010.
