American Airlines will launch a seasonal nonstop flight between Dallas/Fort Worth and Dublin this summer, directly connecting the two cities for the first time in the airline’s history.
According to AA, the new flight will be operated daily with a Boeing 787-9 from June 6 through September 29, 2019.
The new flight is expected to benefit the cargo community wishing to serve Texas, the second-largest importing state in the US with a growing manufacturing sector. Customers with a diverse range of commodities including computer parts, medical devices, machinery, oil industry equipment, aviation parts and pharmaceuticals are already expressing interest in the flight.
“This first, direct, scheduled service from Ireland to Texas will open up a number of new markets for both Irish and multinational exporters with freight destined for Dallas and beyond,” said Andy Cornwell, regional manager of Northern Europe at American Airlines Cargo.
American’s long-standing general sales agent International Airline Marketing will continue to represent the carrier locally in Ireland.
AA also flies to Dublin from Charlotte, Chicago and Philadelphia, as well as seasonally between Philadelphia and Shannon.
